Saw this video on allkpop.com. The DSi just dropped this week in Korea and I have to admit, that the launch colors are pretty sick. I’m even really considering picking up one for myself. The fact that Maplestory DS doesn’t hurt either.
Here’s a funny SNSD commercial.
Tae Yeon drops a fucking shooting star on a monster. That shit is badass. I don’t know why I haven’t seen this ad on TV yet. I would probably play this game if I could, if Korean PC games weren’t so racist.
Learning Korean
Since it looks like I'll be staying here longer than expected, I'm actually going to start cracking down on this shit. I currently can speak enough to get by in most situations, but I'm nowhere near having a small conversation. It's not as if I know a lot of Korean, it's just the shit I know I can use everyday. I can read though, but I don't understand any of it. Either way, it looks like the next step is for me to move on to something more regular and structured. I had my old co-worker help me with my Korean before and that's how I learned most of what I know today. I've picked up words here and there, but mostly useful things like, "Another beer, please." So, I'm making it my goal to sign up for a tutor by the middle of April and start attending. Hopefully, this will all work out, so I'll be able to hit on Tae Yeon or Sandara Park in Korean when the opportunity for me to woo them finally arrives.
Here comes a new challenger!
I've been watching K-pop videos all day along with the Olympics. For a long time now, Tae Yeon has been my Korean celebrity crush. She's in the popular girl group, Girls' Generation.

However, as I'm watching the videos, I have to say that I might be falling in love with Sandara Park from 2NE1.

I started reading up on her and it turns out that she got popular in the Philippines on an American Idol-like competition. Her brother is also in the group MBLAQ. It's actually pretty cool since when you google Tae Yeon, you just find a lot of shit about how she's a racist.
